Another wonderful stay here for Valentine's weekend. See you next year.

Nikki & Tony

Thank you for a lovely stay at your cottage, we have had a fantastic time, we loved the sea on Friday. Very cold, but great fun.

Neil & Max

Another enjoyable stay! Lovely! Thank you.

Yvonne & James (Teignmouth)

We've had a wonderful relaxing week here in Guinevere. What a great place to unwind! Boscastle, Padstow & Port Isaac well worth a visit & the coastal walk to Trebarwith is spectacular. We've eaten in various places in the village which have all been nice. A visit to the castle is a must but wear your walking shoes!! Thanks for a great week in your lovely cottage.

Mary & Tony (Birmingham)

We've had a fantastic time on our first, but most definitely not last, visit to Cornwall. The cottage is beautiful and a great, central base, although I don't think we made best use of the kitchen as there are so many lovely eating places in the area. Tintagel Castle was fascinating with stunning views - great to get a sense of history of the area. And the coastal walk to Boscastle whilst very wet and windy was worth the effort as we were rewarded with spectacular views. Thank you.

Jess & Paul

Thank you very much Nik and Linda for letting us stay at this wonderful homely cottage. We have had a great time and enjoyed the coastal walks very much. Scenery is stunning. All places as mentioned by previous guests are very much worth visiting. We would very much like to come back one day.

Debbie & Gordon (Norwich, Norfolk)

Thank you for our stay, we have enjoyed our first visit to Cornwall very much. Port Isaac and Padstow were everything we hoped for andUncle we had some very relaxing times at Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven. Tintagel castle was well worth the visit, and the coast path to Boscastle was great, with amazing views - very enjoyable despite being six months pregnant! Tintagel Brewery's Castle Gold and St. Austell's Proper Job were a fantastic 'ale-track' to our holiday too - well for Matthew at least! Being from Yorkshire it's very refreshing to find great beer elsewhere too!

Matthew and Abby (Haworth, West Yorkshire)

Lovely relaxing week in this beautiful area. King Arthur's pub good to eat in. Very quick service. Uncles Jack's chippy excellent. Boscastle + Port Isaac lovely + Padstow.

Cathy & Joe (Merseyside)

The stay here at the Guinevere cottage has been fantastic - the cottage certainly has the "wow-factor", is really well equipped and spotlessly clean. Widemouth beach is beautiful - as is the coastal walks and Tintagel Castle. Merlin's Cave and the cove is stunning - and well worth a swim in - even if the water is freezing!! Thank you for your hospitality - we will certainly be recommending this peaceful haven to all our friends & would definitely rebook if we were to holiday in the UK again. Kind regards

Jason, Deborah & Harrison Hill (West Wickham - Kent)

Goodbye Cornwall. It was already our fifth time we stayed in this area. We really love the countryside. That is why we definitely enjoyed our stay. Apart from one rainy day the weather was lovely so that we could go on several hikes along the coast path and across Bodmin Moor - Thanks for the nice welcome card. Your cottage is really comfortable. We will surely come back again some time.

Claus & Christiane (from Germany)

Had a wonderful week, loved the cottage & the weather this week has been an improvement on recent weeks. Great places to eat, the Olive Garden is great for pasta, tried all the pubs etc, loved them all! Have always loved this area & look forward to returning to stay in Guinevere here again. Thanks Nik + Linda for the welcome card.

David & Wendy (Berkhamstead, Herts)

Dear Nik and Linda, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage on our first visit to N. Cornwall despite variable (and very unseasonal) weather!! This is a great place from which to explore the area, both locally and further field and we have been amazed but the amount (and quality) of shops and places to eat in Tintagel - no wonder it's a magnet for tourists the world over! Thanks for your thoughtful welcome card - a lovely personal touch and helped to make us feel very much at home in this little haven of peace away from reality. Hope to be able to get a calendar for next year from your website - really love this year's in the kitchen! Many thanks for sharing your place with us.

Bridget and Matthew (Northants.)

Lovely comfy cottage. Ideal location. Helpful booklets and leaflets (on table by front door). Great walks nearby and good local eating places; including "Charlies" (near the Post Office) very friendly with free WiFi, King Arthur's Arms and the Olive Garden. In every way a perfect week.

Liz & Rob (Weston-Super-Mare)

Dear Nik + Linda, We would like to thank you both for a lovely few days at Guinevere. Your cottage is absolutely beautiful and it feels so welcoming and happy! A lot of thought and love went into creating such a lovely retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed the magical castle and spent many hours there, sitting and reading. The old post office was an interesting and quaint place to visit and everyone in Tintagel is so friendly. Thank you also for your lovely welcome card when we arrived, and extra surprise! We shall miss being here and will have wonderful memories. With kindest wishes.

Stephen + Mary Hoskins, Forest of Dean

We had a lovely relaxing week in the cottage. We heartily recommend taking the bus to Boscastle and then walking back to Tintagel along the coastal path - if you take it at a leisurely pace, allow c. 3 hours (including time for a picnic lunch). Beware the sea breeze however - its warmer (and easier to burn!) than it feels. If you're looking for a nice meal, the Tintagel Arms across the road is very nice and reasonable. The Wootons at the far end of the street is great for a drink, and very friendly staff. All in all a lovely week and its sad to be going back to work!

Keri & Laurie (Birmingham)

Thank you for the pleasure of allowing us to stay in this beautiful holiday cottage. We had a wonderful week and really enjoyed our stay here. We found it very relaxing and would love to come back sometime again. Thanks again.

Mika & Camilla (Wimbledon, London)

Thank you for a a wonderful relaxing week. The cottage is a haven, a retreat from all the hustle and bustle of normal life. The area is beautiful & if you into adventure, pick some mussels from the mussel beds at 'Rock'. They are delicious. We look forward to our next stay. Thank you so much.

Matt + Roni (Highnam, Gloucestershire)

A really lovely cottage. Really great large living room with the fantastic fireplace and the surround sound DVD system. Nice big kitchen with everything you need and the utility room a real bonus. The weather this week has been pretty wet and windy but it was always nice and warm in the cottage. Tintagel is a very friendly town and there was always somewhere to eat. We did not have one bad meal. Overall Guinevere is an excellent holiday cottage. Its probably spoilt us for our next three locations.

Steve and Chris (Kent)

The weather hasn't been the best this week, however we have had a fantastic week and walked from Trebarwith Strand to Boscastle without getting blown over. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk through Rocky Valley and St Nectand Glen, would recommend a detour from the coastal path. Lots of great food eaten, crab sandwiches at Padstow a must, and the seafood (stew) at the old Moathouse shouldn't be missed. Thank you for the use of this lovely cottage Guinevere, Nik and Linda, we will be back to continue our exploration of Cornwall.

Trudy & Mark (Milton Keynes)

We enjoyed our stay in Guinevere , and Tintagel, in Oct 2010 so much that we've wanted to return ever since - and we enjoyed this week just as much as our first. The Port William at Trebarwith is still the place to go for a fabulous Sunday roast (after a walk along the coast path); Granny Wobbly's still do the best fudge we've ever eaten and Bridge House (Boscastle) still does the best all-day breakfast. Once again we'll be sad to leave this beautiful cottage in this wonderful part of the world. Thanks Nik and Linda - Guinevere really is a home from home.

Gareth + Naomi (Shropshire)

Yet another fab week in the cottage. Too much to do and so little time to do it all. Weather has been amazing. Even got a tan in March!! Thanks Nik and Linda for the use of this most amazing place. We shall be back again.

Fran + Rob (Wiltshire)

Thank you. Really enjoyed the cottage and the local amenities were very good & very sociable. Especially King Arthur's Arms. Gotta say, nice food & log fire was really welcoming. Weather this week has been great except 1 day but such a great place to explore the towns & villages of Cornwall, especially in the sunshine. Definitely be back! Thanks again.

Dave & Chris (Birmingham)

A good base for coast walks combined with the bus services and then there are local walks via the castle, church & youth hostel to Trebarwith Strand & back via Treknow. We liked the Arthurs Arms for reasonably price meals, Tintagel Beer, WiFi and a warm fire. The spar is a friendly well-stocked local shop. And finally, we agree with others who have written in this book that the cottage is comfortable & spacious as well as being very attractive looking with its innovative interior design and landscape photos.

George & Jean (London)

Thank you for a lovely week, even has a few days of sunshine to explore the area! Will miss all this relaxing! Thanks again.

Just brilliant - Loved every minute of our weekend.

Nikki & Tony

We've had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Guinevere. Perfectly situated for coastal walks, exploring, and lazy days not straying too far! Tintagel Arms does a great Sunday roast; The Mill House is a favourite place to eat; the butcher next door stocks fabulous sausages. On a blustery day, make your way to the Port William in Trebarwith Strand and watch the ocean crash while you enjoy a pint or a coffee. Further afield, head to Bude at low tide for a walk on the beach, or Watergate Bay for the same, plus delicious breakfast at The Beach Hut! Thanks to Nik & Linda for providing a comfortable, cozy cottage, kitchen with all the tools we needed, and a hassle-free escape. We would definitely recommend to friends!

Maggie & Nigel (Reading, via Canada & Wales)

Guinevere is just delightful - a huge thank you to Nik and Linda for considering every conceivable comfort. Only two wet days, so sought shelter at the Eden Project along with the rest of Cornwall - or so it seemed! and Truro. Otherwise, enjoyed discovering Boscastle, Port Isaac, Rock, Padstow and of course, Tintagel, with wonderful blue skies. Particularly enjoyed walking the Maer cliffs north of Bude, and can recommend a coffee stop at Sandymouth - unexpectedly good.

Jan & Michael (Salteforth, Lancashire)

We've had a lovely week here in this beautiful cottage. The weather has been kind to us, we've walked till we can walk no more. Thank you Nik & Linda for everything. We will be back...

Trish & Kevin (Attleborough, Norfolk)

Tintagel is one of our favourite places & we come every year for a break. Now we have found a cottage top on our list of favourites!! Who could have guessed about the weather too - must be one of the warmest Octobers ever! We will see you again!!

Les & Elaine Brooks

Our first holiday in term time - ever! This is because we are now "retired" teachers. The cottage, Tintagel, the coast, inland, the villages + towns here all exceeded our expectations - not to mention the sunshine that is breaking all records! We have walked & walked & can't believe how many steps there are on all the coastal paths! We go home fitter & much happier.

Alex & Mike (Blunsdon)

Thank you for a great stay in this lovely cottage. The walk to Boscastle and back is a good challenge and we enjoyed surf lessons with Raven at Widemouth Bay. Good surf at Polzeath and the Camel Trail from Padstow is a good day out. Nice food at the Olive Garden and the Port William pub for an afternoon is well worth a visit!

Imogen & Ted, Huddersfield

Despite the weather being a little dreary we had a fantastic week & the cottage made a wonderful base to come back to each day. We would highly recommend the walk from St Nectand Glen back through the Rocky Valley & along the coast. As well as the waterfall at the glen. Beaches at Widemouth, Bude & Trebarwith Strand have given our 14 month old plenty of entertainment running around and dodging the waves. Thank you for the use of the cottage.

Katherine, Mike & Isabel (Birmingham)

We have had a fantastic week in Cornwall. The weather has been good, so have enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. Must dos are St Nectans Glen waterfall, Bossiney Haven - the beach here is stunning, Port Isaac, Boscastle & Tintagel Castle (the steps are a killer!) The cottage is beautiful, everything we needed. Thank you Nik & Linda for letting us experience such a lovely place in this quaint village.

Mike & Jackie

We have really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The weather has been good, so have enjoyed relaxing on different beaches. Our favourite one was Bossiney Haven at low tide. Recommend going to St Nectans Glen as the waterfall was beautiful, although the walk was muddy. Bude, Padstow and Port Isaac were lovely too. Tintagel Castle was beautiful. Enjoyed an amazing meal at the Mill House, highly recommend this for food. Would definitely stay in this lovely cottage again. Thank you.

Rachel & Dan (Worcestershire)

This cottage is a great base for your holiday, with Trebarwith Strand just a few minutes away (a great beach for body boarding and to watch the sunset). The views from Tintagel Castle are lovely - a great spot for a picnic. Found a brilliant rock pool at Boscastle, the rock pools at Crackington Haven were good too! The food at the Tintagel Arms was very nice. All in all, a very good week!

Sue, Ade & Ellie-Mae (Yorkshire)

This cottage has made for a lovely break. We've stayed in this area before, but never in a cottage - something to definitely do again. Find new attractions every time we come - never seem to have enough time. Eaten in most of the pubs around - even tried the fish and chip shop. Good food in all. Coastal walk from Boscastle to Tintagel is worth doing - could be a challenge for to the unfit! All in all, a great break in a lovely cottage. Thank you.

Shirley & Phil (Hampshire)

We very much enjoyed our week in this lovely, homely cottage which caters for all need and is perfectly situated. The coastal walks to Boscastle and Trebarwith Strand are most enjoyable and also the Camel Trail from Padstow to Wadebridge. We ate and drank well in most of the local restaurants and cafes. We shall be sorry to leave this lovely place and hope to return. Many thanks to Linda and Nik for use of this beautiful cottage.

Julian & Margaret (Cheltenham)

The cottage has been lovely. A short walk to our favourite places. The trip to Porthcurno is well worth the journey. The views at the Minack Theatre are stunning. It was lovely to see St Michael's Mount on the journey. The Cornishman Inn, King Arthur's Arms and the Olive Garden are lovely places for something to eat. The portions are very generous.

Ruth & Dave (Nottinghamshire)

A lovely cottage in a great location. Enjoyed walking the coastal path to Boscastle and Trebarwith Strand. Eden Project was a great day out. Had a lovely meal at the Mill House, also Rick Stein's Bistro at Padstow. The Olive Garden in Tintagel is nice & friendly. We will definitely recommend this cottage to our friends & hope to return soon.

Lee & Catherine (County Durham)

What a super cottage for the second week of our honeymoon! We had a wonderful week. Padstow and Port Isaac were gorgeous. We cycled the Camel Trail from Padstow and back - was great fun. As was the walk from Tintagel to Trebarwith Strand on the coast path, returning across inland footpaths - the food (and beer!) at Port William were great. The walk from Tintagel to Boscastle on the coastal path was exhilarating - Rocky Valley was stunning. We cam bak via St Nectan's Glen which was gorgeous. The Cornishman serves a great local ping and lovely food. We finished with a meal at the Cedar Tree restaurant at Bossiney - absolutely gorgeous. Altogether a superb week with amazing weather. What a start to married life!! Whoops! Obviously Tintagel Castle is a must, lots of steps and step cliffs but more than worth it!

Peta & Jon (Yorkshire)

The perfect bolthole. The cottage is lovely and definitely has the 'wow' factor. There is so much to do that I have not been able to fit it all in. Take the bus to Boscastle and walk back along the coastal walk. The scenery is stunning and will blow the cobwebs away. However the last bit walking up the steps from King Arthur's castle is a killer and sorts the men out from the boys!! Try and visit Clovelly which is beautiful and well worth the drive into Devon. The walk to Trebarwith Strand is also worth doing. Next time I hope to walk from Port Isaac to Tintagel. I will definitely come back - its not if I come back it's just when. Thank you for a great time and all the best for the future.

Fran (Wiltshire)

We had a lovely, peaceful long weekend. The cottage has a homely feel and is very well situated in the heart of the village. The unexpected sunny weather was a bonus for this time of year. If you are feeling energetic there is a coastal path which runs from the castle to Trebarwith Strand, well worth the effort (also drivable, signed off the main road). Would recommend the Mill House Inn for dinner. The main restaurant is now closed for the winter but there is a dining area off the main bar which serves excellent food (a little pricey but worth it). Staff friendly and attentive. If you plan to visit Tintagel Castle ensure you have your walking legs on. Sooooooo many steps.

Marion & Graham (Berkshire)

We have really enjoyed our stay here, the cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. We loved going to Padstow and Tintagel Castle. There were also lots of lovely places to eat and drink! We will definitely come again! Thank you.

Yvonne & James (Devon)

A beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. There is so much to see and do within a short distance. Here are just a few of the things we've seen and done this week, that we would recommend: walk the coastal path from Tintagel to Trebarwith; eat Sunday lunch at the Port William, Trebarwith Strand; eat at the Mill House at Trebarwith; take the bus to Boscastle , and walk back along the coastal path, finishing at Tintagel Castle; visit Padstow; visit Port Isaac; visit Crackington Haven - a beautiful place; buy a pasty at Pendenna, Tintagel - and a cream tea in the Pendenna Tearoom; go to Rocky Valley, and St Nectans Glen - between Tintagel and Boscastle - and see the waterfall and rock carvings; have an all-day breakfast at the Bridge House, Boscastle; visit the Old Post Office, Tintagel; have mulled wine/hot cider at the Olde Moat House, Tintagel!!; see Merlin's Cave, near Tintagel Castle; walk on the beach at Widemouth Bay, near Bude; have a takeaway from the Indian Ocean. We've had a great week and will be sorry to leave. Hope you have as good a holiday as we have.

Gareth & Naomi (Shropshire/Staffs)

Lovely cottage, clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. Location excellent, Tintagel lovely with plenty to see. Port William has lovely views and food excellent. Port Isaac and Boscastle both worth visiting. The Mill House Inn has a lovely atmosphere and the game of getting the brass ring on the hook in the beam is very entertaining. You will want to achieve it before leaving Cornwall. Well done Nik and Linda and Marie.

Paula & John (Bedfordshire)

We've really enjoyed our stay here in Tintagel. There is plenty to see and do, especially the scenic coastal paths and pretty fishing villages. The Port William at Trebarwith Strand is definitely worth a visit! The cottage is delightful and all our needs well catered for. We would highly recommend it to others and may even return one day.

Bob & Jackie (Somerset)

The cottage more than lived up to our expectations - very well equipped in a great location. Enjoyed Boscastle, in particular the beautiful walks and cream teas at the Harbour Light Cream Tea Café. Would recommend Padstow for a great day out with lots of places to have some lunch, and also "The Lost Gardens of Heligan" which offer pretty scenery, and a great place to take a picnic. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Megan & Ed (Hampshire)

We have had a lovely week - cottage lived up to expectations, weather good + Tintagel very homely. Good coastal walks and all we could wish for, to ensure enjoyable time. We will be back!

Sue & Steve (Lancashire)

Had a lovely stay in this superb cottage, very restful and homely. Eaten in several of the pubs but enjoyed the pastry café opposite the hotel at the end of the road. Padstow, Port Isaac, St Ives, Fowey and Mousehole well worth a visit as well as Trebarwith Strand and Tintagel Castle. Would recommend it to our friends and would definitely revisit. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Sylvia & Tony (Cheshire)

We have had a wonderful time. The cottage and location were everything we hoped for. Many nice places to eat - The Riverside Hotel at Boscastle being among the best. A trip to Trebarwith Strand is a must. I will certainly recommend the cottage to anyone wishing to visit the area. Thank you for a lovely time.

Nik & Shirley, Yorkshire
